This web site is intended to document and disseminate information related to the City of Edmonton's snow and ice management activities over the winter of 2025/26.
Heavy snowfall occurred in December 2025, described by Mayor Andrew Knack as "unprecedented". Clearing of residential streets did not commence until January 12, by which time the winter snowfall depth had reached 76 cm and road conditions were exacerbated by freezing rain events. This resulted in personal injury and property damage for which the Mayor and Administration have so far avoided accountability. The City Administration awarded themselves a 100% score for residential roadway snow and ice management in their 2025/26 Annual Report.
